FROM BELGRADE TO VIENNA

The story of Goldener Papagei did not begin in Vienna, but in Belgrade in 1978. Zlatni Papagaj opened there as a small Italian coffee bar that approached many things differently for its time. Today, we reinterpret that idea in Vienna through specialty coffee, good food and three locations, each with its own character.

Zlatni Papagaj introduced Italian coffee culture to Belgrade in 1978. What mattered was not only what was served, but also how the place felt: uncomplicated, open and slightly unconventional.

That attitude still interests us today. In Vienna, we continue it not as a nostalgic copy, but in a new form – through specialty coffee and locations that reveal different sides of Goldener Papagei.

Praterstraße focuses on breakfast and brunch. On Argentinierstraße, coffee meets Paparogi pierogi, breakfast and drinks. Stuwerstraße is our small spot for coffee to go.
